Melissa is the Mayor Pro Tem and running to be on the Artesia City Council this November 3rd election.
Top Priorities
PIONEER BLVD.
My fondest memories of Artesia are from Pioneer Blvd. I realized that I learned so much about my culture and heritage from our local businesses. Let’s work together to fix the city’s lifeline for Artesians, businesses and visitors into our great city.
UPDATE
Since the filming of this video - In 2022, I initiated the re-striping of Pioneer Blvd. and in 2023, it was finally completed. It was one of the biggest contentious issues that Artesians and neighbors continously brought up. Now, vehicles especially our first responders can traverse safely on Pioneer Blvd.

Homelessness
Homelessness is a major issue of concern in California especially in Los Angeles and right here in Artesia. Homeless individuals deserve to be treated with dignity and respect.
